Director or Senior Director – Energy / Natural Resources Sector



Fitch Ratings’ Business Relationship Management (BRM) Group is seeking a Director or Senior Director with Energy / Natural Resources sector expertise based in New York. As part of the Energy / Natural Resources Business Development team within BRM, the candidate will work closely with a senior team of experienced Investment and Corporate Banking professionals. This person will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with Energy / Natural Resources Issuers and any broader relationships the candidate may have with Bankers, Private Equity, and Credit Investors. The principal objective will be to generate new Corporate Rating mandates through relationship development and consistent, targeted marketing.


Fitch is looking for a Director or Senior Director with the experience and gravitas to represent the firm while engaging with, building, maintaining relationships with, and presenting to Corporate Borrowers and Issuers. This person will liaise with other BRM colleagues in New York, Toronto, San Francisco and Chicago (Banker, PE, Issuer, and Investor teams), as well as EMEA groups to coordinate firm messaging, target lists and assist in the development of relationships.

We’ll Count on You To:

Develop and maintain relationships with Energy / Natural Resources Issuers
Leverage broader relationships with Bankers, Private Equity and Credit Investors gto enerate new Corporate Rating mandates.
Represent Fitch while engaging with, building, and maintaining relationships with Corporate Borrowers and Issuers
Liaise with BRM colleagues in New York, Toronto, San Francisco, Chicago, and EMEA groups
Coordinate firm messaging and target lists and assist in the development of relationships.


What You Need to Have:

10+ years of Investment banking, corporate banking, or capital markets background (Debt Capital Market, Leveraged Finance, etc.) with strong relationships in the Energy Sector (Power & Utilities, Renewables, Oil & Gas)
Ability to lead client presentations, market analyses, post-meeting follow-ups, and data gathering
Technical strength in research, development, preparation, and presentation of marketing messages

FOR NEW YORK AND CALIFORNIA ROLES ONLY: Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $200,000 and $300,000. Actual salaries will be determined on an individualized basis and may vary based on factors including but not limited to education, training, experience, past performance, and other job-related factors. Base pay is one part of Fitch’s total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, long-term incentives, and other benefits sponsored by Fitch.
