Job Description
For over , BAE Systems has served as the trusted agent to provide Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) of Navy, BMD, & FMS Weapon and Combat System Development. In this role the successful candidate will take a leadership position in overseeing and managing technical project(s) and teams and serve as a liaison between program leadership, our government customers, and our technical coordinator teams. This position will be responsible for project execution plans and identify technical and business resources needed, review status of projects and budgets, manage schedules and status reports. The successful candidate will also assess issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives while providing technical and analytical guidance to the team. This position will report into the Chief Engineer. Other responsibilities include:
Model and demonstrate strong leadership skills with complex engineering initiatives, ethics, safety and security
Meeting often with primary contacts within the government to anticipate and understand the needs and direction for the project or program
Managing and directing team(s) of baseline coordinators including evaluating their performance assessments
Assisting customers in the development of current and future requirements
Evaluating plans and criteria for technical activities and recommending alternatives as required to comply with customer and company obligations
Supporting the Chief Engineer to develop project plans, develop, schedule, and deliver demonstrations, and preparing strategic roadmaps
Assessing issues and developing resolutions to meet resource needs, productivity, quality, and client satisfaction goals and objectives
Act as a liaison between the task areas to ensure commitment to delivering project implementation plans and Sailor needs are realized
Ability to pivot and perform other emergent duties as assigned
