App security specialist

Location: Dallas, TX

Job summary: Seeking a dedicated App Security Specialist (Sr. Associate - Projects) with 6-8 years of experience in the field of application security and identity management. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safeguarding our applications from vulnerabilities and threats, ensuring the integrity and confidentiality of sensitive data through the effective management of identity solutions.

Roles & Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive security assessments and audits of applications to identify vulnerabilities and suggest mitigation strategies.
Implement and handle CA Identity Manager and CA/Broadcom Identity Manager solutions to ensure robust identity and access management across all applications.
Develop and implement security policies and procedures in line with industry standard processes and compliance requirements.
Collaborate with development teams to integrate security measures into the application development lifecycle.
Monitor security systems for anomalies and respond to potential security incidents promptly.
Stay abreast of the latest security threats, vulnerabilities, and mitigation techniques.
Deliver training and guidance to staff on application security standard processes.
Participate in the design and implementation of disaster recovery and business continuity plans for applications.
Work closely with IT and business collaborators to understand their security needs and implement solutions that align with organizational goals.
Handle identity lifecycle processes, including provisioning, deprovisioning, and access reviews.
Apply IAM/Identity Management knowledge to improve application security postures.
Qualifications

Demonstrable experience with CA Identity Manager, CA/Broadcom IdentityManager, and IAM/Identity Management solutions is required.
Good understanding of application security principles, frameworks, and technologies.
Familiarity with security standards and compliance requirements relevant to application security.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Dedication to staying informed about the latest security threats and technologies.
Experience in defining and implementing security policies and procedures.
Certification(s) Required

CERTIFIED INFORMATION SYSTEMS SECURITY PROFESSIONAL (CISSP) OR EQUIVALENT.
Salary and Other Compensation

Applications will be accepted until 5th June 2024.

The annual salary for this position is between $104,000 to $114,000 depending on the experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and is subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
