Overall Role Description:
This opening is for an expert level V93000 Applications Engineer in the Dallas TX area. The successful candidate will provide leading edge V93000 solutions in support of a major semiconductor customer. The duties include providing technical leadership to the local AE team and customer engineers by developing ATE-based test solutions and new test methodologies. Success in this role entails applying well developed skills in complex ATE-based hardware design and debug as well as test program development and debug while working with customer engineers. To have a high impact on Advantest’s success, the candidate must be able to multitask based on changing customer needs, assisting with task closure strategies, helping customer engineers on best practices, and be a self-starter with management direction.
Responsibilities:
- Successful candidate will leverage his/her technical experience to derive and develop test program solutions and strategies to test complex digital-based SOC devices on V93000 ATE systems.
- Utilize technical expertise working with customers on solution planning and implementation based on Advantest products and services. Requires demonstrated ability to quickly understand new concepts and applications.
- Successful candidate will lead pre-sales activities, prepare customer technical presentations, theoretical benchmarks, requirements analysis, and competitive positioning with technical analysis.
- Collect and comprehend upcoming customer requirements, and effectively relay this information to R&D for strategic planning of future Advantest solutions.
- Work with the Advantest customer teams in planning strategies to protect and grow market share within assigned and peer accounts.
- Design and layout DUT interface hardware, utilizing transmission line theory and implementing best practices for noise reduction and interconnect technology.
- Contribute to achieving and maintaining customer satisfaction, loyalty and engagement.
- Deliver training classes and consulting-related services to various customers as required.
Travel:
Approximately 15% travel to various customer and Advantest sites
Requirements:
- A high level of expertise on the Advantest V93000 or similar ATE
- Proficient in analog and digital ATE testing techniques
- Proficient in the Linux (UNIX) operating system.
- Proficient in C++, Java, object oriented language programming
- Perl or Python scripting experience
- Comfortable presenting in front of customer senior management
- Proactive, self-disciplined and motivated self-starter
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
Additional Skills Preferred (but not required):
- Analog circuit design
