Apprenticeships Director



Fitch Learning is currently seeking an Apprenticeships Director based out of our London office.

The Apprenticeships Director will report into the Managing Director for Europe and will manage a team of nine that cover Apprenticeships Quality and Compliance, Operations, and Skills Coaches.

Our Apprenticeships provision is currently delivered for apprentices working for circa 60 employers in the financial services industry.

We are looking to grow our provision in terms of both breadth of offering, overall learner numbers and effectiveness and efficiency of delivery.
This role will lead across all aspects of the Apprenticeships function– operational, delivery, client and learner support, quality and curriculum.
Commercial contribution by supporting and influencing the sales process, as well as own the creation of a strategic plan to support future Apprenticeships growth.

To lead the apprenticeships function to deliver a high-quality service and curriculum to learners, support employers, and drive the long-term growth of the business area.

Operations
Oversee the design and implementation of integrated processes, systems, controls, and reporting formats that support strong analysis of business performance.
Develop effective forward-looking management information for the organization.
Manage the risk throughout the operations of the business by monitoring leading performance indicators, trends and ratios including ESFA financial testing.
Support colleagues in developing and measuring critical business performance drivers, whilst challenging performance.
Develop innovative approaches that set us apart from our competitors, leading to continuous improvement and enabling growth targets to be met.
Ensure high levels of compliance needed to fulfil the ESFA requirement.
Operational lead of the Performance Managers within the team and the activities/data and results of those in other teams relevant to the departments’ success, ensuring contractual targets and objectives are met in terms of timely success rates, non-starters, referrals and progressions and all KPIs.
Develop, implement, and maintain protocols for all required metrics and data to be available and up to date every working day utilizing all available information from both internal and external systems and platforms.
Address under performance and implement corrective methods.
Work closely with the compliance manager to ensure all compliance objectives are met and all funding received in a timely period.
Delivery
Manage delivery of all programmes, including leading our Skills Coaches.
Supporting and driving to continuously improve scores from apprentice and employer feedback.
Performance Management
Lead the teams to achieve operational excellence - meeting and exceeding KPI’s; track and monitor the KPIs to ensure the timely completion of all elements of the Apprenticeship programmes including functional skills, professional qualifications and additional learning support.
Quality Management
Oversee provision to ensure alignment with Educational Inspection Framework.
Actively lead the response to any Ofsted inspections.


Curriculum Management
Oversee Curriculum development role ensuring the curriculums we deliver to our learners are high quality, effective and ambitious.
Work with Head of Faculty and wider faculty team to ensure excellence of delivery in respect of professional qualifications embedded within the apprenticeship standards.


Strategic and Commercial
Supporting business growth; working alongside the sales department to maximize new business sales and learner recruitment, but always prioritizing quality of delivery and learner achievement.
Develop a 3-year strategy to support future growth and client penetration.


What You Need to Have:

Experience running an Apprenticeships function (approx.3 years’) providing delivery and operational input into the strategic direction of the function and/or provider. In a similar size Apprenticeship function to Fitch Learning.
Experience of successfully delivery change and improvement programmes with tangible results.
been intrinsically involved in the Ofsted inspection process, including being a nominee or deputy nominee at full inspection.
Evidence of working with professional services and/or financial services clients.


What Would Make You Stand Out:

Experience of managing subcontracted delivery and or experience of managing ESFA relationships.
Successfully led an Ofsted inspection.
Commercial leadership of an Apprenticeship function.
Experience of working in Apprenticeships serving professional services clients.
