Job Description
Broad outline of the Role
Supervise the tasks related to planned activities in the network
Prepare network design documents (HLD/LLD/DD/CSD)
Conduct weekly & monthly network performance monitoring, trend analysis, capacity planning and expansion in line with network growth trends and increases in traffic
Periodically review systems functionality and ensure that recommendations for enhancements and improvements are driven through appropriate department and business channels
Team Management

Achieve agreed performance levels in line with Business targets, Customer requirements and functional SLA's, whilst also ensuring proactive management of order queues within associated order management systems
Escalate issues and potential delays through Line Management channels in accordance with standard procedures to ensure that SLA's are not breeched
Purpose - Broad objective of the role
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with 5-6 years experience in the telecommunications field, demonstrating a strong background in data communications with a clear understanding of IP/MPLS technologies
Essential: Valid Cisco Certified Professional qualification (CCNP/CCIP)

Technical Competencies
Ability to maintain a large network with complex network technology
Excellent TCP/ IP networking skills.
Strong understanding of telecom networks
Experience with MPLS technology including L2/L3 VPN and traffic engineering.
Excellent skills in Configuring and troubleshooting Cisco routers and switches
Experience with routing protocols (OSPF, RIP, EIGRP, ISIS and BGP)
Experience on L2 Protocols (VLANS, VTP,STP, RSTP,MSTP, LACP, SPAN, RSPAN, ERSPAN, HSRP,VRRP, GLBP, QnQ )
Fair understanding on Transmission terminology like, PDH, SDH, DWDM, OTN
Expertise in QOS design and configuration is a plus
Tunnelling protocols and its applications, GRE, IPSEC, DMVPN
IPV6 Tunnelling techniques - 6PE, 6VPE
Experience in using Microsoft Visio/ARIS, Excel and Power point
