Automation Quality Engineer
Location: Seattle, WA
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelors/MS in Computer Science, engineering or equivalent
• 5+years of professional work experience as Software Development Engineer or related fields.
• Expert programming skills in an OOP language, Python, Swift, Java preferably.
• Familiarity with CI/CD environments
Roles/Responsibilities:
• Software integration testing and test automation
• Analyze and triage test failures
• Designing and automating new tests
• Escalate and report key quality issues and drive issues to resolution
• Regular interaction with teams located in different geographical regions
• Create, Improve and maintain automated tests for functional and model validation to success on CI/CD pipelines
• Possess excellent written and verbal communications skills in English
Ideal Requirements:
• Able to write shell scripts and familiar with XCode and able to build or modify existing iOS Application Code
• Test automation experience(XCTest a plus)
• Familiar with Apple OS platforms, debugging or profiling tools
• Proven ability to analysis and find root causes in multi-tiered, client server environments
• Testing server backend services at the API or protocol level
• Working understanding of test types and their purpose(unit, integration, end-to-end).
• Familiar with different logging and analytics concepts
• Basic Unix admin skills
• Any background in server-side automation is a plus
• Experience with git and any source code solutions
• Familiarity with any of these technologies/systems is a plus: Solr, Kafka, Redis, Splunk, PostGres DB, AWS S3, Docker, WireFrame UI design a plus
• Any familiarity with ML systems, how to test ML models is a plus
• Able to work in a fast paced dynamic environment
• Curious and proactive, loves to learn and explore.
• Excellent trouble-shooting and debugging skills
• Previous experience working with Virtual Assistants is a plus
Work Authorization:

Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is between $43,900 - $100,200 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
