Job Title: AWS Data Engineer

Job Summary

- We are seeking a talented and analytical-minded individual to join our team as an Analytics Engineer.

- As an integral part of our data-driven organization, the ideal candidate will leverage their expertise in Python, Databricks, and AWS to develop and optimize data pipelines, conduct complex analyses, and contribute to the overall success of our analytics initiatives.

Roles/Responsibilities

- Design, build, and maintain scalable and efficient data pipelines using Python, Databricks, and other relevant tools.

- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and implement solutions.

- Develop and implement data pipelines to support data-driven decision-making processes.

- Troubleshoot and resolve performance issues, working to continually improve system reliability.

- Utilize your expertise in AWS to manage and optimize databases, ensuring data integrity, security, and performance.

- Work with various data storage solutions, such as Amazon Redshift, Athena, or similar technologies.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into technical requirements.

- Document data engineering processes, ensuring that the team's work is well-documented and accessible.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Strong proficiency in Python for data manipulation and analysis.

- Experience with Databricks for data engineering and analytics.

- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).

- Knowledge of integration development.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Experience with additional cloud platforms, preferably AWS.

- Knowledge of big data technologies such as Apache Spark.

- Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $99,000 - $140,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
