Job Title: AWS Databricks developer

Roles & Responsibilities:

AWS Strong proficiency in Python. Experienced in Building S3 file systems via code pipelines. Experienced in Creating and using IAM roles. Experienced in building and handling Key Management Services. Experienced in creating and using AWS transfer Family and Storage Gateway mechanism. Experienced in building and using CloudFormation templates. Experienced in standing up and maintaining EC2 instances and Lambda services. Experienced in standing up Kubernetes clusters and maintenance. Previous experience with data visualization tools (Power BI Tableau). Solid experience with GIT and CI/CD Pipelines. Databricks: Extensive experience in Databricks technology. Extensive experience in data mapping data architecture and data modeling on Databricks. Extensive experience in Design implementation and maintenance of data pipelines using Python pyspark on Databricks. Strong proficiency in Python and PySpark able to write and complete complex queries to perform curation and build views required by end users (single and multi-dimensional). Extensive experience in Databricks Data engineering (Job Runs Data Ingestion and Delta Live Tables) Good experience in setting up and maintaining SQL Warehouses SQL Editor and alerts. Good experience in setting up and maintaining workspaces catalogs workflows and Compute. 8. Experienced with All-purpose compute Job computes SQL Warehouse Vector search Pools and Policies. Experienced in setting up and maintaining the Unity catalog. Experienced in creating and maintaining Databricks schema objects Notebooks scheduler and Job clusters. Solid experience in building Notebooks with sophisticated code structures. Good experience in building and maintaining the Autoloader process. Solid experience in the usage of Table ACL & Row and Column Level Security with Unity Catalog. Good experience in Data Ingestion Storage Harmonization and curation.
Required Qualifications:

We are seeking a Sr. AWS Databricks Developer with 10-14 years of experience specializing in Python PySpark SQL Lake house Warehouse and Databricks technologies and with a solid background in Property & Casualty Insurance. This role is pivotal in driving our data engineering projects forward ensuring high-quality development and implementation of scalable solutions. Required Skills: Technical Skills: Python PySpark Databricks SQL Lake house Warehouse Domain Skills: Property & Casualty Insurance. Nice to have skills: Technical Skills: Structured Streaming One Lake Spark Job Definition Data Activator Spark in Scala Domain Skills: Technology: Cloud DW development.
Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $64,800.00 – $95,500.00 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
