As a BIE, you must possess the ability to dive deep into large amounts of data, have a great business sense, curiosity and a proven ability to deal with ambiguity, and the desire to influence key strategic decisions with data-driven analysis and insights. Working within the business teams and collaborating with key stakeholders across the company, you will have the opportunity to design and implement features to enhance the experience of your customers.

As a BIE on our team you will focus on exciting and challenging problems, including:

- Identifying, developing, managing, and executing analyses to uncover areas of opportunity and present written business recommendations that will shape the future of online grocery shopping.
- Reporting key insight trends, using statistical rigor to simplify and inform the larger team of noteworthy story lines that impact the business.
- Learning and understanding a broad range of Amazon’s data resources and know how, when, and which to use.
- Building automated data solutions and dashboards to enable your team to self-service 80% of data needs, allowing you to focus on answering hard and ambiguous problems.
- Scoping, building and owning technical data warehouse processes to help the business scale.
- Collaborating with software engineering and product management as a leader of quantitative analysis and where you develop solutions that utilize the highest standards of analytical rigor and data integrity.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc. experience
- Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
- Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines
- Experience in Statistical Analysis packages such as R, SAS and Matlab
- Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting experience (Python) to process data for modeling

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with AWS solutions such as EC2, DynamoDB, S3, and Redshift
- Experience in data mining, ETL, etc. and using databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $79,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
