Programming:
Develop CNC programs using CAM software to produce intricate parts based on engineering drawings and specifications.
Optimize programs for efficiency, tool life, and production speed.
Set-Up:
Configure CNC machines, including tool changes, part loading, and workholding setup.
Conduct tool and fixture offsets to ensure accurate and repeatable machining processes.
Operation:
Monitor machine performance and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency.
Perform routine maintenance on machines and equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards.
Quality Control:
Conduct in-process inspections and measurements to verify conformity to specifications.
Collaborate with quality control teams to address and resolve any deviations from quality standards.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate and detailed records of CNC programs, setup sheets, and tooling information.
Provide feedback to engineering teams for continuous improvement of processes.
