You will be working as Commissioning Engineer and will be part of Process Automation Business Area for Energy Industries division based in Bangalore, India. In this role you will be reporting to Engineering Manager and will be responsible for installation/commissioning of excitation systems for synchronous machines like synchronous generator and motor and responsibility includes erection/installation, commissioning and handing over.

Your responsibilities
Planning and executing with minimal professional guidance, complex technical field assignments involving the installation, modification, test, inspection or repair of our excitation products equipment. Analyzing/Simulating power system/Power electronic related aspects
Coordinating work with other groups to ensure meeting commitments typically on remotely operated maintenance and testing equipment. Additionally you will recommend measures to improve operations and customer service
Following the HSE rules of the company where you are working
Performing complex field service operations requiring electrical & automation control skills. Troubleshooting and repairing equipment, applying own knowledge and experience
Assisting in planning and coordinating team efforts. Guiding less experienced technicians and instruct them in proper and safe operation of equipment. Often work non-standard schedules at field locations with exposure to varying environmental conditions
Your background
Bachelor’s degree in electrical (EEE) or Diploma in Electrical & Electronics or Power Electronics with higher experience in Power systems and Power Electronics with sound experience in power converters
2 to 5 years of relevant experience is required
knowledge of PLC, DC Drives, and Power plant experience in generator and its associates like generator controls, protection and excitation system would be preferred as an addition experience
Should have very good knowledge in the field of power electronics and synchronous machines (Generators and Motors)
Person with good communication skills and capability to communicate with technical and non-technical people would be required
Available to travel at any time and the travel frequency shall be 90%
