We are looking to hire a resource in our Communications Team based in Mumbai HO.

The person will be responsible for supporting the Corporate Communication function. This person will be responsible for engaging with print, electronic, online and regional media across the country. They will also engage with other relevant external stakeholders to shape and protect the company's reputation, including sustainability communication. They are expected to provide strategic communications support in collaboration with internal stakeholders, including the CEO’s office, to facilitate media engagements. The candidate is expected to have exceptional writing skills and Corporate Communication experience with a large firm.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Media Relations:

Support HUL’s media relations strategy to build and protect reputation through earned media.
Establish and maintain media relationships.
Manage media inquiries and interview requests, monitor and track media coverage.
Identify good storytelling opportunities and pitching it effectively to media.
Writing and reviewing press releases and other types of editorial content
Support with Leadership and sustainability communication.
Managing vendors and, external PR agencies and media databases/archives.
Crisis/Issues Communications:

Manage various issues the company faces; prepare communication assets such as holding statements, media responses, position notes, scenario planning and risk mitigation plans.
Advise brands/ other teams on approach and external communication in the event of an issue.
Maintain trackers, processes and support with media and issues training.
SKILL SETS

Excellent writing and copy-editing skills with adequate PR experience to produce communications such as press releases and media statements; content support with speeches and articles.
Good planning and organisational skills, along with good interpersonal skills
Existing relationships with journalists in business and national dailies will be a positive
Experience with social media content creation/management will be a positive
REQUIREMENTS

Sound judgement and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Ability and maturity to handle complex situations and confidential and sensitive information.
An affirmative approach with high accountability and integrity
Desire to build and maintain a keen understanding of industry trends affecting HUL and make appropriate recommendations regarding communication strategy
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Proven working experience of 5-6 years in corporate communication/public relations or journalism in a reputed corporate, PR agency or media organisation.
A Masters or a Bachelor’s degree in communications, Advertising, Marketing, Public Relations or Journalism is preferred
