As a Manufacturing Unit Manager/ Company Manager for Electrification Business Area in Jiangmen, China, you will manage all aspects related to operations of a local manufacturing unit including the full scope of Production, Engineering, Procurements, Quality & Operational Excellence and Logistics, will also take legal responsibility of the plant.

Your responsibilities
Implementing the global/ hub division manufacturing strategy in the country within the area of responsibility. Providing inputs to global/ hub division strategy. Developing proactive strategies to increase business profits, customer satisfaction and operational effectiveness
Ensuring achievement of established targets, through oversight and definition of improvement actions as needed. Focuses on achievement of operating cash flow, project on-time and on-cost, requested on-time delivery (ROTD) and cost reduction
Leading and managing manufacturing function and operation teams and processes. Implement localization plan. Improving manufacturing technology and competence in line with global/ hub division strategy
Executing global/ hub division Quality strategy. Driving quality improvement through target setting, monitoring and benchmarking to continuously improve processes. Executing quality management for monitoring and validating day to day control of processes
Delivering operational/project targets (e.g. ROTD, lead time, quality, etc.). Ensure that manufacturing resources implement improvements that address issues identified through Customer Complaint Resolution Process (CCRP), Top 5 Quality Initiatives (T5QI) and other voice of the customer initiatives
Implementing Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) and business compliance standards and regulations within the units. Ensuring a safe working environment, and continuous improvement in HSE process and integrity performance. Personally, lives the ABB values and Group standards
Implementing and ensuring compliance with global and local standards, rules, tools, policies and processes related to operations/project execution and shares functional best practices and lessons learned across the organization
Ensuring that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed and directed. Builds an effective, capable and high performing organization. Develop talent, appoints managers and reviews effectiveness
Your background
Bachelor's Degree or above with major in Engineering, Business or related
Minimum of 10 years of experience including operations, quality management and P&L management, working experience in JV will be a plus
Good knowledge of the various continuous improvement systems and processes
Ability to make decisions in critical and urgent situations
Excellent leadership skills and ability to attract, motivate, develop and retain a dynamic and talented team
Leadership abilities to encourage commitment rather than obedience
Agent of change and strong ability to manage change
Excellent communication skills with a continuous improvement and results-oriented approach
