About the role
The purpose of this position is to supervise large, sophisticated construction projects for industrial, logistics, and manufacturing clients, with direct accountability for project delivery. Based on candidate flexibility, role requires 60% - 100% travel to client industrial construction sites for length of projects ranging from 3 months to 2 years.
What you’ll do
Leads project delivery resources/team providing project mentorship and direction to achieve project goals.
Manages all facets of project management, including GC and subcontractor management for individual real estate projects including planning, design, construction, occupancy and closeout.
Build and maintain key project governance such as: Scope of Work, Quality Control, Project Charters/Work Plan; Communication Plans, RACI Matrix, Schedule, Budgets, Cash flow, Risk Identification
Demonstrates ability to identify sophisticated project risks, lead constructability reviews, develop risk mitigation and contingency plans, and implement action plans to reduce or eliminate project risks.
Demonstrates a knowledge of projects & project management within the context of business results (case, larger economic implications, business risk, contracts).
Identify project resources from pre-qualified lists or through individual project qualification process (Request for Proposal); conducts standard to complex request for proposals; completes bid analysis; leads evaluation interviews, recommends resources to clients. Ability to negotiate and advise Client on vendor contracts and proposals.
Manages 3rd party project resources/team. Responsible for identifying training needs, supervising performance, mentor, and motivating team members.
Ability to forecast and prepare budgets. Conducts financial/business analysis including the preparation of reports.
Capable preparing proposals and presenting CBRE Project Management Services to clients (internal/external).
Mastered project governance, process and use of standard project management tools (Kahua).
Mentoring junior team members for professional development.
What you’ll need
Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field. Minimum eight or more years' construction administration, architecture, engineering or similar experience. Licensure as either a Professional Engineer or Registered Architect is desired.
Candidate must have onsite experience leading industrial construction projects
Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to read and understand architectural drawings. Knowledge in MS Project and/or Kahua, leases, contracts, and construction practices.
Knowledge of the entitlement/permitting process and construction delivery methods and agreements.
Familiarity with construction standard processes, general building codes, and various building types and systems.

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Construction Sr Project Manager position is $150,000.00 annually and the maximum salary for the position is $170,000.00 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience.
