Description:

Data Enablement Tribe Lead

(Senior Director Level)

The Fitch Group Chief Data Office (CDO) is seeking a Data Enablement Tribe Lead based out of our London office.

The Data Enablement Tribe Lead will support Fitch Group’s strategic goals by making data available across the organization in the quickest, most effective way.

Reporting to the Chief Data Officer, you’ll lead the team that collaborates closely with business stakeholders to set the strategic direction for our data platform, data emerging technology efforts, and Financial Data Repository (FDR) database.

What We Offer:

The key to this role is ensuring that data is delivered in the time, location, and format (raw or transformed) that our colleagues and customers need to best consume it.
You’ll also be a partner for the business as they build and refine internal and external data products – providing access to critical data, best practices, and support.
You’re a great fit if you have a “data as a product” mentality, know how to foster and build on innovation to drive ROI, and are a champion of efficiency.
You have a demonstrated track record of running high-performing, customer-centric data teams.
Strong relationship-building and communication skills are also necessary, as you’ll work directly with stakeholders to gather and supply feedback at critical points, and own responsibility for multiple milestones and deliverables.
We’ll Count on You To:

Define the tribe and squad missions for our data platform, data emerging technology efforts, and FDR database with input from fellow CDO team leaders, colleagues on the software and technology teams, and stakeholders in the business.
Partner with stakeholders across the Fitch business units – this includes understanding business priorities and managing dependencies where work falls across different teams
Collaborate closely with our master data management and data governance owners to ensure the data provided is accurately displayed and governed.
Guide the product owners for each of those areas in defining priorities and major deliverables for their squads in support of the tribe.
Closely collaborate with leadership team members across the CDO and Chief Software Office (CSO) to make the processes that involve data more effective and less cumbersome.
Leverage emerging technology (AI/ML) to support data product innovation, growth, and productivity.
Help to remove obstacles for your team members, identify and manage interdependencies, and enable the tribe to deliver iteratively.
Inspire your team to operate with a high-performance, business-focused mindset – supporting innovation and efficiency, while reducing technical debt.
Foster an agile, collaborative culture in the spirit of Fitch's values.

What You Need to Have:

Significant expertise in and experience with making data available, clean, and optimized to support scalable data products that meet customers’ needs.
Ability to translate business problems into solutions
Strong leadership, communications, and relationship-management skills to build and maintain productive partnerships with key stakeholders across the CDO, technology team, Ratings and Solutions businesses, and executive management.
Considerable relevant experience in financial data sources.
Experience of implementing automation, AI/ML, and other best-in-class data software.
Bachelors required.

What Would Make You Stand Out:

Proven track-record in agile tribe leadership ideal but not essential
Ratings agency experience a plus
