Job Summary:
The DevOps Architect will partner with other developer, architects and technology decision-makers to guide overall direction of the user interface layer of the site and will work closely with Technical Leads, Application Architects, Software Developers and Management in a highly collaborative environment.

The candidate should have a proven track record of delivering to strategic business vision, enterprise level architecture strategies, and developing innovative enterprise IT enablement practices that create business value.


Roles/Responsibilities:
Engagement Shaping
Ensure Cognizant's role in achieving the desired outcomes is well understood and agreed upon by all parties.
Ensure that all work is taken on by PODs/teams is focused on, aligned with, and supplying to one or more of the engagement themes.
Establish an initial state delivery operating model is well aligned with the client operating model.
Identify risks, impacts, and proposed mitigation actions in terms of possible effect on quality, efficiency, and efficacy.
Rationalize the themes, desired outcomes, and expected timelines with the operating model and projected ability to continuously improve/mature the model to ensure they are realistic in the overall context.
Ensure delivery execution for each POD/team conforms to an established, agreed upon, and continuously maturing operating model.
Engagement Management.
Ensure talent is available at the right time to deliver on the engagement plan.
Ensure talent that is no longer needed for the engagement is released from the project in a timely manner.
Facilitate and lead weekly status cadence among team leaders.
Prepare & publish regular status report and publish for internal review and Senior Client Leaders.
Ensure the right talent with the right skills is available and performing according to an agreed upon operating model.
Ensure correct tools, frameworks, patterns and standard processes are used.
Ensure Cost of Delivery targets are met.
Ensure contractual & financial commitments are met.
Track and guide continuous improvement of digital maturity for discovery, delivery, and engineering practices.
Anticipate risks and delivery issues to proactive address.
Ensure clear open communication internally & client.
Data Collection & Reporting.
Collect execution performance data from engagement to ensure all SLA, KRA/important metric and client requirements are supervised, trended and actioned.
Cognizant Growth.
Identify and relay to Cognizant leadership (account, GTM, community)opportunities and ideas for Cognizant to help the client improve efficiency & efficacy gain competitive advantage, or create/unlock new/additional business value.
Community Leadership.
Supply and lead artifacts/assets development and participate actively within community and enablement programs.
Supplying / facilitate/ encourage cross community interactions to drive innovations, improvements and enablement opportunities.
Community Mentorship.
Mentor Engineering Managers & POD leaders how to govern continuous improvement for digital maturity and conduct quality analysis and testing program reviews, how to engage with clients, handle customer concern and govern engagement.
Focus on soft skills/ interpersonal skills in additional to technical.
Engage with a mentor to continue ongoing growth.
Community Contributions.
Supply to community programs by working on program committees.
Contributions include, but not limited to refining processes, building automation, establishing tools.
Learn, adapt & align with community standard processes.
Recruiting and developing talent (internal/external).
Sales Support.
Provide presales support for client briefings, engagement shaping, and RFP responses.
Thought Leadership.
Author, edit, or publish articles, case studies, or other artifacts that help to establish Cognizant as a leader with vision and trusted authority in digital delivery.
Continuous improvement attitude.
Consultative, innovative.

Salary and Compensation
Applications will be accepted until June 6th, 2024.

The annual salary for this position is between $52,000 – $152,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
