The purpose of the Director, Health Policy & Implementation Sciences is to be a strategic partner to educate, develop and execute health policy measures and tailored implementation strategies to address patient access barriers impacting advancement of evidence-based practices with internal and global external customers/stakeholders. This individual will be a core leader of Global Health Policy and Patient Access Research Center of Excellence embedded within the Global Access, Value & Economics Organizaton at Intuitive. The aim of the role is to address, through implementing pilot initiatives, determinants of health that are creating patient access barriers to evidence-based practices, resulting in health inequities across markets. This will be accomplished by advancing patient access theories, research and health policy synthesis, and determining strategies that can be taken through pilotable implementation science measures to overcome evidence-based practice barriers. The objective of this work is to begin advancing general scientific understanding and action behind addressing determinants of health impacting the diffusion of evidence-based practices influencing Intuitive’s technologies adoption.
As a key cross-functional constituent in the GAVE organization, this person will work collaboratively in a highly-matrixed enviornment as a leader, subject matter expert and partner with other GAVE leaders (i.e., Head of Health Policy and Patient Access Research, Head, GAVE Regions and Head, GAVE BU Emerging Technologies), commercial marketing and sales leadership, Global Public Affairs, MACA and Genesis to implement measurable health policy change through stakeholder/customer pilots. Goal will be to understand impact, through recommended pilots, of health policy implementation practice strategies and initiatives on patient access approrpiatness (quality), accessibility, availability and afforadibility. Work with targeted customers to implement and measure change to determine viability and impact of programmatic implementation and scaleablity once deemed appropriate
