Roles and Responsibilities:

Job Summary/Overview:

Seeking an energetic Safety Engineer with strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and assist with identifying risks that support safety programs for one of the most advanced semiconductor facilities in the United States and provide support to future construction. Opportunity to work as part of a diverse safety team to help strengthen our safety culture and improve hazard elimination for a world leader in manufacturing technology.

Specific Job Duties:

Ability to anticipate, identify, and evaluate hazardous conditions and practices during task performance at a construction jobsite, and potentially manufacturing activities.
Develop hazard control designs, methods, procedures, and programs; and advise and educate others.
Measure and evaluate the effectiveness of hazard control elements.
Evaluation of task performance to ensure compliance with site and regulatory requirements.
Document and track results to support safety program elements.
Conduct incident investigations, identify root cause, determine corrective actions, and support implementation.
Conduct employee training for education on site safety requirements.

Shift: Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm

Skills and Qualifications:

Education, Training, Certification(s) and Minimum years of experience required

4+ years’ experience in Health and Safety performing similar tasks
Bachelor of Science in Safety, IH, Environmental Science, Engineering, or closely related field preferred

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Software, and Tools

Familiarity with OSHA Regulations (Construction and General Industry) and reporting guidelines
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) with all levels of personnel on site required. Ability to handle stressful situations with professionalism and candor.
Ability to perform training to ensure proper H&S practices and awareness.
Keen understanding of best practices and implementation.
Proficiency in Microsoft software programs.
Preference for experience in Construction
