Who we’re looking for

Toyota’s CSRM group is looking for team members who are passionate about technology and interested in joining a collaborative and highly motivated team as an Engineer II - Product Cybersecurity Group.

The primary responsibility of this role is to support TMNA’s product security incident response team (PSIRT) process for post-production issue management.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, the person in this role will join the Product Cybersecurity Group to deploy security solutions for applications in a more connected vehicle environment.

What you’ll be doing

Supporting the PSIRT process for TMNA
Support PSIRT vulnerability management activities including triage, validation, process execution, and process conformance as assigned.
Execute the product threat intelligence data collection process.
Develop vulnerability triage reports that are accurate and high quality.
Execute the process that ensures PSIRT compliance is achieved by appropriate milestones.
Timely escalation of any risks as appropriate.
Support the development and maintenance of documented processes and standard operating procedures (SOP) and tools to enhance PSIRT.
Support the development and implementation of technical projects in support of ECU design department cybersecurity activities that are PSIRT-related.
What you bring

Bachelors in EE, ME, CS, CECS, and/or Systems Engineering; advanced engineering degree preferred.
Relevant years of experience inclusive of work as an intern, co-op, capstone program engineer, and/or full-time engineering role.
Experience with product cybersecurity PSIRT and/or automotive recall and/or quality processes.
Automotive, or relevant industry, cybersecurity experience.
Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking) for business and technical discussions. 
Added bonus if you have

CISSP, CISA, and/or relevant cybersecurity certifications.
Experience with cloud operations, networking, and site reliability engineering.
Experience with automotive industry quality, regulatory, product planning, or manufacturing processes.
Experience with ISO 27001 and/or ISO 9000 certification and audit.
Customer service and relationship management.
Initiative to identify and improve aspects of the business – policies, processes, procedures, technologies, reports, and templates as needed.
Self-education to continuously learn and invest in skills and knowledge relevant to the team and the position.
Going above and beyond by understanding the business, anticipating needs, and delivering results that meet all quality expectations.
Pro-active management and creation of tasks, definitions of done, and deliverable dates for tasks requested of you and projects you manage.
Mentoring and coaching to help develop a community of peers/experts.
Fluent in Japanese (reading, writing, speaking) for business and technical discussions.
