As Factory Business Controller at ABB’s facility in Pinetops, NC, you will lead local Controlling teams to optimize financial performance within the local ELDS (Electrification Distribution Solutions) division. You will be responsible for supporting effective business decisions by monitoring, analyzing, and interpreting financial data to evaluate various business alternatives and recommending the most appropriate business solutions.
This role will need to be able to work in Pinetops, NC on a daily basis.
Your responsibilities
Partner with relevant business leaders to define, align, and adapt the strategy while maintaining regular communication with other managers and Controllers regarding financial, market, and customer situations
Translate strategy into actionable business plans, set measurable targets, oversee the planning and forecasting process, interface with key stakeholders, and provide financial evaluations and recommendations for strategic decisions
Track progress, offer insights for decision-making, address issues, and guide management with action plans to enhance cost efficiency, productivity, and cash flow optimization
Identify and communicate commercial and financial risks and opportunities in business propositions, while also executing risk review procedures and processes to minimize commercial and financial risks in accordance with global policies and standards
Establish and manage processes and tools to ensure transparent and reliable financial data and business information, maintaining their quality in alignment with defined standards and financial closing schedules
Ensure timely and efficient communication with local & global division, Accounting Center, and other internal customers to identify and discuss issues for improvement of operations, work quality and efficiency
Collaborate with HR Manager to organize, staff, skill, and lead the area of responsibility, while also guiding, motivating, and developing direct/indirect subordinates within HR policies
Your background
Bachelor's degree / Professional Degree in finance with a minimum of 10 years of controlling/finance experience, or alternatively, a special combination of education and experience and/or demonstrated performance and results in the areas of business, finance, operational/manufacturing controlling, and accounting required
Masters in finance preferred
Experience supervising others in a controlling team strongly preferred
Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office software applications and SAP or any other ERP
Demonstrated understanding and ability to interpret complex manufacturing costing models, commercial Terms & Conditions, preparing Project Full cost model, Cashflow management, etc.
Excellent English writing and verbal skills
Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
