Action Against Hunger is seeking a Finance/Grants Manager who will be responsible for the country-level buy-ins, subawards, and home office financial accounting functions related to the PROPEL Adapt project, as well as the integrated day-to-day administrative operations necessary for the efficient use of resources. The position will report to the Director of Finance and Administration and will closely collaborate with the Director of Finance and Administration, the Awards Unit, and the Accounting Unit to monitor the overall PROPEL Adapt budget.
The Finance/Grants Manager will work with the corporate Accounting Unit, Award Management, and maintain adequate bookkeeping and accounting records, including the entering of daily transactions into the accounting software, accounts reconciliation, and will implement rigorous quality controls and procedures to ensure adherence to applicable ACF-USA and USAID financial policies, as well as US and local government laws and regulations.
He/she will coordinate with the project Finance and Administration Director and the accounting team to ensure the accurate keeping of all books of account and all accounting records. Review field/subawards expenditures for accuracy and compliance and may post those expenses into the system; or work closely with the accounting unit to do so.
Purpose: Support each Country Director in providing technical oversight to all projects and operational support to the country field sites to the development of programming.
Engagement: Maintain regular communication with Country Director, other Senior Leadership Team members, and Field senior staff to ensure program activities and objectives are achieved.
Work with Country Director, Logistics, and Finance to ensure the coordination of timely delivery of program supplies and that expenses are within budget. Ensure there is active coordination between departments at the field level of operations.
