What’s the role?
At Bloomberg Finance we are committed to providing world-class support to our business partners by providing insight on business performance, financial oversight and thought leadership.
We are looking for a Financial Analyst to join our larger finance team supporting the Sales organization. You will be responsible for using our extensive data sources to provide solutions to urgent business questions, financial / operational insight, and reporting. You will also be responsible for building tools that serve longer-term needs. Your attention to detail and strong reporting and analytical skills will help you be successful in this role!
We’ll trust you to:
Working across business, sales, finance and billing teams to analyze commercial models, billing structures and other operational tasks
Developing financial models, performing due diligence, creating business plans and providing decision support to management for strategic initiatives, business expansion and various commercial models
Assisting with the establishment of operating budgets and financial projections in-line with business objectives
Liaising with the business on tracking performance vs. business plans
Preparing monthly and quarterly financial presentations for management discussing year to date performance against plan and financial outlook
Co-ordinating ad-hoc analysis and management reports
Supporting management reporting packages including business performance/results and variance analysis for revenue, expense, headcount and capital in a timely and consistent manner
Participating in monthly close activities
Evaluating industry developments, market conditions and economic news to determine financial and business impacts
Supporting annual financial audits including responding to auditor requests and questions
You’ll need to have:
1-4 years of relevant experience in Finance
Bachelor’s degree required
The ability to confidently work with data, identifying business trends and be able to create insightful analysis
Proficient quantitative, financial and data manipulation skills and exceptional attention to detail
Strong organizational skills, effective interpersonal skills, and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and stakeholders
We’d love to see:
Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
Experience in financial services or a financial data provider industry a strong plus
Flexibility to work in a fairly unstructured and fast-moving environment
Team player with ability to deal with changing priorities
Familiarity with the Bloomberg terminal is useful, but not required
Understanding of the index industry
Experience with SAP, MS Access
Tableau or Qlik and VBA experience

Salary Range: 70,000 - 115,000 USD Annually + Benefits + Bonus
The referenced salary range is based on the Company's good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training and skill level.
