As the FP&A Manager, Operations, you will provide financial and control expertise to the Electrification Installation Products “ELIP” organization, benchmarking KPIs while working with other finance professionals to understand the drivers of financial performance, identifying trends relevant to the business. You will study business performance, including financial modelling to forecast the impacts and risks, and recommend areas for continuous improvement.
This role will be focused on financial analysis, extraction and interpretation of data, and providing key insight to ELIP Business Leaders and Plant Management.
This role will need to be able to work a hybrid in-person schedule in either our Cary, NC or Memphis, TN office locations. This role will include 15-20% domestic travel.

Your responsibilities
Manage a small team of financial analysts to provide data analytics and insights to the business.
Prepare financial modeling for various scenarios and assess their impact on the organization and provide monthly analysis of operational parameters.
Support operational excellence across manufacturing sites by offering analysis and tools for transparent cost and savings parameters, target setting, and monitoring.
Validate the accuracy of operational and financial data through reconciliations and exception reviews, ensuring reliability for future audits.
Collaborate with Division management to drive productivity, improve delivery performance, and optimize costs.
Maintain alignment with Accounting Policy, Internal Controls, and Assurance, while ensuring proper audit trail documentation.
Provide information to management through data assembly, summarization, report preparation, and presentations.
Collaborate closely with stakeholders and business functions to assess customer delivery needs, develop qualitative commercial information, and deliver value-based business analytics; additionally, create, develop, and implement new standard processes and tools for obtaining transparent and reliable financial data for management information systems reporting.

Your background
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
8+ years of experience in controlling or financial analysis, financial operations, or internal controls.
Experience working in a manufacturing setting (or similar) environment required.
General accounting knowledge in financial statements, cashflow, inventories, reconciliations and internal controls.
Change management experience preferred.
Must have advanced proficiency with MS Office, particularly with Excel and experience using multiple tools such as SAP and PowerBI.
Ability to travel domestically an estimated 15-20% of the time.
Ability to work and present information to senior leadership and plant management.
Demonstrated critical thinking capability is required conducting financial analysis, effective problem solving and performing root cause analysis
Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
