This is a hybrid position out of our global headquarters in Inver Grove Heights, MN.
Responsibilities
Understand and execute the contract creation process and governing legal and regulatory requirements for rail shipments to international shipment locations.
Understand and execute documentation requirements for US Customer and Border Protection and Partner Government Agencies (PGA’s).
Issue/Review order instructions to ensure on time deliveries to our international customers.
Interact with customers and provide a positive customer experience that makes CHS their first choice.
Collaborate with sales, trading, transportation, and CHS terminal locations to ensure documentation is provided accurately and is consistent for clean execution to international locations.
Advise shipment details as required to customers or transportation providers.
Work with freight forwarding providers, labs and customs brokers as needed throughout the execution of a shipment.
Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.
Project work relevant to global trade execution and international business.
Maintain and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures, and regulations. Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions.
Perform other responsibilities as needed or assigned.
Minimum Qualifications (required)
High School diploma or GED
2+ years of experience in Supply Chain and Procurement and/or Transportation and Logistics
Additional Qualifications
Bachelor's degree preferred in International Business, Finance, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Agricultural Economics, or related field
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Spanish written and verbal communication skills preferred
Understanding of commodity contracts in grain, oilseeds, and by-products for export
Knowledge of NAEGA and GAFTA legal contract terms
Proficient in MS Office suite
