In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the NEMA Motors Divisions understand and align with the various ABB policies, procedures and processes, including those outlined in the various authorization tables. As the Division builds and modifies our business related processes, you will work with the business and functional leaders to ensure our process follows all current corporate requirements and expectations, while also ensuring we align with any future changes to those requirements and expectations.
In this role, you will be performing operational inspections, testing, monitoring, assurance mapping and record keeping of our business assurance and compliance will be a key responsible of the job.
Your responsibilities
Develop, implement and continuously improve an effective assurance framework to manage key strategic, operational, financial and compliance risks
Develop, implement and embed companywide policies, procedures and awareness raising programs, while also ensuring aligning of our local policies, procedures and programs
Enhance and embed the risk management framework, to anticipate key risks relating to the division’s strategy and objectives
Support risk owners across the division to actively identify, assess and capture key risks and risk management activities within the risk register, reflecting changes resulting from business initiatives and the external environment
Support/lead the response to compliance and assurance issues, with the ability to gather, analyze, and evaluate facts and prepare and present concise reports
Develop management information and insight mechanisms that provide senior management with assurance that risks are being managed appropriately
Assist the business with performing independent assurance reviews of key risk areas, for instance by supporting the annual internal controls testing and reporting or conducting internal audits
Ensure the business remains up to date and compliant with internal and external policies and framework across the entire division
Identify and lead projects across all division functions related to assurance excellence and any post audit findings
Your background
Bachelors Degree with minimum 12 years experience OR Master's Degree with minimum 10 years experience.
Minimum 10 years of experience in a risk management, assurance, internal audit, compliance or related role.
Knowledge of risk assessment methodology, tools and techniques
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of developing good working relationships
Strong influencer, who is able to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the business
Experience of working across a large, complex organization interacting with all functional areas
Experience leading and managing change and change related initiatives
Committed to developing and embedding best practice, innovation and continuous improvement
Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
