Job Description 1
The Human Resources Manager is a key leader and Business Partner to the site. In this role you are expected to function in a strategic business leadership capacity responsible for all aspects of human resource administration and human capital planning including positive employee relations/engagement, talent acquisition and retention, succession planning, performance management, and talent development.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for strategic leadership and planning of human resources activities to support specific business and organizational objectives.
2. Designs and maintains an effective employee engagement strategy to motivate the workforce, reward performance and retain workers.
3. Formulate, develop, recommend, and administer core HR strategies, policies, and procedures to protect and leverage the interests of the company and its employees.
4. Analyze organization training needs, plans, develops, and coordinates the implementation of training programs to meet organization needs and requirements.
5. Work collaboratively with other HR team members across the corporation to identify corporate and business unit level opportunities to improve business results and create and deliver integrated HR solutions.
6. Effectively resolves employee relations issues and performs investigations as required.
7. Direct and approve employment activities including the recruitment, selection, hiring and orientation of all personnel.
8. Supervises staff activities of the Human Resource Generalist positions.
9. Partner with the site’s Environmental, Safety, and Health team to support the site's safety programs and initiatives.
10. Other duties as assigned.

6. Must have excellent communication (verbal and written), organization, problem resolution, and presentation skills.
7. Expert knowledge of applicable employment and HR related laws.
8. Advanced computer skills, including all MS Office applications and HRIS databases (experience with Workday is a plus)
Required Experience and Level of Education:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field required.
Master’s degree in Human Resources or a related field a plus.
PHR/SPHR/SHRM certification a plus.
Previous management experience preferred.
5+ years of human resources experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Physical Demands:
Must have the ability to work in an industrial surrounding.
Must have the ability to walk and stand 50% of the time.
