Description:

Overview:

The IT Project Manager oversees the planning, execution, and completion of technology projects within the organization. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and technical skills to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and according to specifications.

Responsibilities:

Project Planning and Execution:

Lead the planning, scheduling, and coordination of IT projects from initiation to closure.
Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
Develop project plans, timelines, and resource allocation strategies to support project goals.
Stakeholder Management:

Establish and maintain relationships with project stakeholders, including clients, team members, and vendors.
Facilitate communication and collaboration between business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure alignment of objectives.
Manage stakeholder expectations and address concerns or issues in a timely and effective manner.
Resource Management:

Allocate resources, including personnel, budget, and materials, to support project activities.
Coordinate with departmental managers to secure resources and ensure adequate staffing for project teams.
Monitor resource utilization and adjust plans as needed to optimize project performance.
Risk Management:

Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, proactively addressing potential issues to minimize their impact on project outcomes.
Develop risk management plans and strategies to mitigate project risks and ensure project success.
Monitor project risks throughout the project lifecycle and implement contingency plans as needed.
Quality Assurance:

Implement quality assurance processes to ensure that project deliverables meet or exceed quality standards.
Define quality metrics and performance measures to monitor project performance and identify areas for improvement.
Conduct regular reviews and inspections to verify compliance with project requirements and specifications.
Change Management:

Manage changes to project scope, schedule, and budget, assessing the impact on project objectives and stakeholders.
Facilitate change control processes, including impact analysis, stakeholder communication, and documentation updates.
Ensure that changes are properly documented, approved, and communicated to all relevant stakeholders.
Documentation and Reporting:

Maintain accurate project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and meeting minutes.
Provide regular updates and reports to project stakeholders, highlighting key achievements, risks, and issues.
Ensure that project documentation is organized, accessible, and archived according to organizational standards.


REQUIRED SKILLS
Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field.

Experience: 15+ years of experience in IT project management, with a proven track record of successfully delivering technology projects in a complex environment.

Certifications: Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.

Skills:

Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire project teams.
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies, such as Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall.
Analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail and a focus on delivering business value.
Additional Requirements:

Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Experience with IT infrastructure, software development, or other technical domains preferred.
Flexibility to travel occasionally, as required by project needs.
Strong teamwork and collaboration skills, with a commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.
