Description:

KYC Risk Evaluation Management (REM) is an AML function that is responsible for conducting a risk evaluation for clients with certain high-risk attributes to determine whether to on-board or maintain the relationship from an AML risk perspective. In support of the REM function, the Internal Assessment team is designed to ensure risk evaluations are properly conducted by (a) performing Peer Reviews; (b) supporting volumes related to IA, Exam and regulatory reviews ; and (c) developing controls and solutions to enhance the KYC REM Program. To achieve this objective, the responsibility of an Internal Assessment Senior Analyst includes:

Responsibilities:

Understand the KYC REM process and how holistic risk evaluations are conducted. This may include the assessment of: Client Information, Ownership Structure, Name Screening Matches, EDD, Product Profile, and Local Requirements.
Understanding the applicable Global KYC Policies, Standards and Procedures
Reviewing risk evaluations completed by the Regional KYC REM hubs to assess risk comprehension, narrative writing and skill sets.
Engaging with REM QC teams to be a consolidated point of contact to understand and respond to REM Risk Findings/Observations. This provides insight on how Regional KYC REM Hubs understand concepts defined by Procedure and Policy.
Assisting in the development of sound metrics on Peer Review/QC issues and trends, perform root cause analyses on identified concerns, develop practical and executable solutions to enhance narrative/analysis/risk comprehension.
Providing feedback to KYC REM Management, KYC REM Execution Team Leads, and KYC REM staff on results and actions that need to be taken to improve the process.
Escalate AML concerns or any significant suspicious activities to senior management
Assist in coaching and training REM Analysts
Responsibilities may evolve as the program dictates
Qualifications:

5+ years of relevant work experience
Bachelor’s Degree and AML Certification preferred
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Ability to critically think and assess complex issues
Recent working knowledge of AML legislation and regulatory requirements.
Ability to rapidly comprehend new and complex products.
Commitment to understanding country-specific principles and business knowledge related to AML regulations.
Proactive, organized, and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Must be able to manage and complete multiple tasks on time.
Understanding appropriate escalation and follow-up methods when potential AML risk is identified.
Ability to independently refer to policies and procedures and put into context with regards to this role.
Education:

Bachelor’s degree/ University degree or equivalent experience
