Cognizant’s Digital Engineering practice is seeking a highly qualified Lead React Engineer with experience developing and building high-performing, scalable, enterprise applications. Responsibilities
Manage UI application development, guide developers and perform code reviews.
Manage a team of Front-End Developers.
Craft overall architecture and at components’ levels (frontend), including APIs, and integration with other systems using React.
Build dynamic and responsive web applications.
Install and configure server environments for React deployments.
Ensure high-quality graphic standards and brand consistency.
Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
Continuously review and improve UI design and development process.
Qualifications
Proven experience in leading and mentoring a team of React developers.
Capability to provide technical guidance and support to the team.
In-depth knowledge of JavaScript, Typescript, CSS, HTML, and front-end languages.
Knowledge of React tools including React.js, Enzyme, Redux, and Flux.
Experience with user interface design.
Knowledge of testing frameworks such as Jest, React testing framework.
Experience with browser-based debugging and performance testing software.
Experience with SASS, LESS.
Knowledge of modern JavaScript tooling, build processes, and package managers (Webpack, npm, etc.).
Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including UI/UX designers, product owners, and backend developers.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to contribute to sprint planning, backlog grooming, and other Agile ceremonies.
Problem Solving and Troubleshooting:
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues in a timely and effective manner.
Familiarity with RESTful APIs and GraphQL.
Identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks in applications.
Experience with tools and techniques for front-end performance optimization.
Proficient in using Git for version control.
Familiarity with collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, or similar.
