The Lead Site Reliability Engineer plays a significant role in designing, implementing, and maintaining highly available and scalable systems. This engineer drive the migration of on-premises applications to public cloud platforms, ensuring seamless transition and optimal performance. This role will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to define migration strategies, develop migration plans, and execute migrations with minimal downtime.

Primary Responsibilities:
Establish and enforce best practices for cloud infrastructure provisioning, configuration, monitoring, and optimization
Design and implement automated processes for deployment, scaling, and recovery, utilizing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles
Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to optimize performance and reliability
Develop and maintain documentation, runbooks, and procedures for system operations and troubleshooting
Mentor and coach team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement

Preferred Qualifications:
3+ years of work experience using containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes
3+ years of experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
2+ years of monitoring and observability tools such as Datadog

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
