Fitch Group is currently seeking a legal Counsel to manage certain legal matters in relation to Fitch Group’s business operations in North America. This role reports to one of Fitch Group’s Deputy General Counsels.

We’ll Count on You To:
Provide legal support (including the review of fee agreements and NDAs) for various credit analyst groups in Fitch Ratings and the corresponding business relationship management groups.
Support other operational functions of Fitch Group which will depend upon the specialist expertise of the candidate.
What You Need to Have:
Experience representing clients on intellectual property, software licensing and emerging technology matters
Financial Services experience
Admitted Attorney in a US state or equivalent jurisdiction
At least 5 years of post-admission relevant experience in private practice or working in-house at a financial services institution
Fluency in English is required

Experience in capital markets related legal support preferred

FOR NEW YORK ROLES ONLY: Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $185,000 and $210,000 per year. Actual salaries will be determined on an individualized basis and may vary based on factors including but not limited to education, training, experience, past performance, and other job-related factors. Base pay is one part of Fitch’s total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include discretionary bonuses and other benefits sponsored by Fitch.
