Description:

Are you an experienced Machinist looking for an exciting opportunity to showcase your skills and expertise? We are currently seeking a highly skilled Machinist to join our team. As a Machinist, you will be responsible for setting up, adjusting, and operating a variety of machine tools to perform precision machining operations. Your role will involve calculating dimensions and tolerances, machining parts to specifications, and ensuring the quality and accuracy of finished products.

Key Responsibilities:

Set up, adjust, and operate basic and specialized machine tools to perform precision machining operations.

Calculate dimensions and tolerances using mathematics and precision instruments.

Machine parts to specifications using lathes, milling machines, grinders, and other equipment.

Measure, examine, and test completed units to detect defects and ensure conformance to specifications.

Align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, and materials onto machines.

Monitor machine feed and speed during the machining process.

Study blueprints, drawings, and engineering information to determine methods and sequences of operations.

Maintain machines and equipment, and perform routine maintenance as necessary.

Program computers and electronic instruments for numerically controlled machine tools.

Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing personnel to exchange technical information.

Required Skills/Technical Skills:

Proficiency in machine operation, programming, and manufacturing processes.

Experience with machining techniques such as milling, turning, grinding, and CNC programming.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and engineering drawings.

Familiarity with precision measurement instruments and techniques.

Strong computer skills necessary for operating system maintenance and programming software.

Experience with welding and metalworking equipment is a plus.

Experience:

5+ years of related experience and/or training in machining and manufacturing.

Equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered.
