Adecco is assisting a local client located in Houston, TX for a Millwright, specializing in the installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of industrial machinery and equipment. The primary focus of a millwright is to ensure that machinery operates efficiently and safely within various industrial settings.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
•Assemble and install new machinery and equipment according to blueprints, technical manuals, and engineering specifications.
•Align and level machinery using precision tools to ensure proper operation.
•Assist on setting up machine shop.
•Assist with tool trailer upgrade.
•Assist with setting up welding area / welding table.
Maintenance and Repair
•Conduct regular maintenance on industrial machinery to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance.
•Diagnose and repair mechanical issues, such as faulty bearings, gears, and other components.
Blueprints and Technical Documentation
•Ability to interpret and follow technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to carry out instal-lations and repairs accurately.
Safety Compliance
•Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
•Implement safety measures during installations, repairs, and maintenance activities.
Collaboration
•Work closely with engineers, project managers, and other team members to ensure successful project completion.
•Provide input on equipment upgrades and modifications based on hands-on experience.
Documentation
•Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities.
•Create reports detailing work performed, parts used, and any recommendations for future im-provements.
Experience & Skills:
Electrical, Mechanical, Fabricator/Welder 5yrs+ years experience
•Proven experience as a millwright in an industrial setting.
•Welding experience preferred.
•Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
•Familiarity with a variety of tools and equipment used in millwrighting.
•Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
