Position Summary
The primary responsibility of the manager clinical research (MCR) is to develop and oversee all activities and study staff within the identified research program(s). The MCR is required to have an in-depth knowledge of program infrastructure, protocol requirements, and good clinical practices (GCPs) as set forth by federal regulations. As the primary resource for research within the department, the MCR will act as liaison between the investigators, primary care providers, the institutional review board (IRB), research administration, ancillary services, and the sponsor.
This position is responsible for managing the Neonatology Research department. The position supervises all research staff as part of the NICU research team and oversees at least 7 funded clinical trials sponsored by industry, universities, and government. The NICU is also in the startup phase of 2 new clinical trials with expected launch in 2024. The Department has a long established clinical research program going back over 40 year and is supported through several philanthropic funds including the Sommer and Betty Mammel NICU research endowment.
License/Certification/Registration:
