Job Description
Advantest has embarked on a digital transformation journey, which is a key enabler for our continuous business growth. As part of the transformation, you will shape our ADVANTEST data model, Business Intelligence landscape and data integration with our global partners and suppliers. You will also be responsible for running the global Data and Business Intelligence team.

Work in partnership with the top management on large transformation projects and therefore
not only manage the data aspects but also being closely involved in the implementation of
operational improvements, and in providing frequent reports to executive management.
Work closely with senior business stakeholders and experts to elicit requirements, develop new
concepts and implement them to support complex business use cases across the evolving data
landscape.
Analyze, capture, plan and socialize the Data Analytics & Business Intelligence roadmap across
different business units in coordination with the Enterprise Architecture, Technology and Global
Processes across the organization.
Responsible for the design and development of platforms and tools for structuring/organizing,
storing, retrieving, analyzing, and reporting data.
Lead the design and provide guidance in Data Quality Monitoring, Development, Release
Management and Support following Information Security guidelines.
Responsible for building and maintaining data systems, including but not limited to Decision
Support, Business Intelligence, Data Warehousing, Meta‐data Repositories, Operational Data
Stores, and Enterprise Storage Management.
Directing our Global Team of Data Engineers and Business Intelligence Developers towards
high value-add Business Intelligence, Planning and Data Engineering capabilities; deliver
speedy and high-quality reporting capabilities to Business Units/Functional Units/Regional
Units – meeting their specific local needs.
Vendor interaction, management, and alignment of capabilities with MS Azure, Power BI and
RPA technologies to incrementally deliver functionality & dashboards.
Modelling data and guiding the teams on external datasets for incorporation into the data
warehouse.
Provide expert input into overall architecture direction.
Ensure appropriate staffing levels across programs/projects.
Mentor a global diverse team with an inclusive team culture.
Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in IT, Supply Chain Analytics, Engineering or comparable.
Preferred 10+ years’ experience in working & managing a team of data, Business Intelligence
& analytics professionals and managing transformations projects across Business Intelligence.
Strong stakeholder management skills to understand and address business needs and
requirements
Strong analytic & modelling skills related to working on cloud data warehouse projects.
Experience with Azure Data factory, Databricks, Pipelines, Azure Synapse, Azure SQL DB, Data
Warehouses, Data Marts. Certification is a plus.
Familiar with mesh and fabric architecture patterns.
Skills in building processes supporting data transformation, data structures, and metadata.
Knowledge of, and experience, in working with source Oracle and Microsoft databases.
Experience in using SQL/ PL SQL, Python, Spark.
Experienced in using Power BI, working with business users and in leading reporting
development.
Strong project management and organizational skills. PMI Certification is preferred.
Solid experience with data analysis and data quality initiatives.
Experience of working in a high-tech manufacturing company is a plus.
Good communication and collaboration skills in a global environment.
Very good knowledge of English, written and spoken. German is a plus.
