The manufacturing engineering co-op student works on projects as directed by a senior manufacturing engineer. Projects may involve mechanical, electrical, automation and control, or information systems. The co-op is expected to work 40 hours per week during the co-op semester and may have the opportunity to continue part time during the academic semester as class schedules permit.

Co-op duties may include:
Gathering data for problem solving and process documentation
Providing drawings for workplace and plant layouts, tooling and fixtures
Delivering project reports and presentations
Working with other disciplines
Your background
The co-op candidate is seeking a BS in engineering and should have the following skills:
Good overall computer skills including MS Office
Database, drafting and modeling skills such as AutoCAD/SolidWorks
Strong written and spoken communication skills
Understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems or a desire to learn and research these areas to gain knowledge.
