Cognizant’s MLEU Consulting team has open opportunities for Consultant / Senior Consultant designations, in its Oil and Gas consulting practice. We are a team of advisory consultants and product managers working for global O&G clients to create significant business value. The team leverages their technology savviness, functional expertise to lead and execute digital transformation initiatives.
At least 10+ years of O&G industry business consulting experience as part of a Tier 1 consulting firm or directly with O&G clients in markets such as North America, Europe & APAC.
At least 10+ years of overall work experience with very good exposure and understanding of the IT services industry.
Experience in leading & delivering large consulting projects with Tier 1 O&G clients in both upstream and downstream markets.
In depth domain knowledge across O&G functions Digital Oil Field, Hydrocarbon accounting, petro technical services on the upstream side and Supply, trading, refining & distribution/retail operations on the downstream side
All round experience & exposure across the O&G value chain – Upstream & Downstream with specific in depth experience in digitization for O&G industry
Experience in working in an onsite-offshore operating model in an outsourced service environment.
MBA from a Top Tier Business School.
Responsibilities
Consulting engagements:
Ability to conduct Business Analysis and Requirement Gathering: Definition of the Business Requirements for a Solution Increment with line of sight back to the Outputs and back to the Outcomes and Benefits with Oil and Gas or renewables client.

Experience in agile methodology as a product owner or scrum master and maintaining a healthy backlog.
For each Project Increment create a backlog of Epics, Features and User Stories. This feeds into the shaping process to groom stories ready for development.
For various User Stories there may be a need to produce detailed business rules or clarifications to the development teams. This is an ongoing exercise throughout the development sprints.
Roadmap Definition: Schedule, based on business priorities, benefits, ease of delivery and delivery dependencies and constraints, the outputs into a roadmap. Providing a high-level estimate of when outputs will be delivered across the whole workstream.
