Key Responsibilities:
The optical training & certification professional instructor is expected to master new technology, stay abreast of industry best practices, and collaborate closely with other subject matter experts to support training deliveries. This includes:
In 80% of the time:
Traveling and delivering classes face to face
Delivering classes in virtual environments
Managing classes of students (customers, partners, internals)
Proctoring written and lab exams
Supporting/configuring test bed configurations to customize them for tailored deliveries
In 20% of the time:
Contributing to update learning materials
Grading lab exams
Reviewing the content material providing feedback to the content developers
Participation in external-facing events delivering workshops, seminars, etc.
Develop new content materials
REQUIRED SKILLS
Qualifications - Education and Certification Requirements
Four-year university degree in Physics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent experience.
A Nokia optical certification such as the ONP, ONSE, ONDE or ONA or other industry-recognized optical certifications.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential. Fluency in English, both written and verbal, is required.
Proficiency in the German and Spanish languages is considered a plus, though not mandatory. Candidates with additional language skills will be viewed favorably.
Experience
Mandatory:
Minimum 5 years experience with course delivery
Experience using the Nokia 1830 PSS equipment and applications (e.g., EPT and the WaveSuite ecosystem)
Suggested:
Experience in the optical network technical support, R&D, PLM, Professional Services or equivalent role
