We seek a Pharmacy Technician to support all functions of the Genoa mental health and specialty pharmacy primarily through dispensing medical prescriptions and performing necessary clerical duties while under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist.


Pharmacy located inside of the following clinic: Spurwink Adult Behavior Health, 62 Elm St., Portland, ME


This position is 20 hours/week. You can determine your scheduled days. Our pharmacy hours are Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm (Lunch from 12:30-1).

Primary Responsibilities:

Provides exceptional customer service to all consumers and members of the clinic staff
Fills prescription orders and makes them available for verification under direct supervision of the registered pharmacist
Orders, receives and stores incoming pharmacy supplies
Receives and processes wholesaler medication orders
Verifies medication stock and enters data in computer to maintain inventory records
Works with the Pharmacist to asset in the pharmacy functions and keeping the pharmacy in compliance with all federal and state requirements
Performs various clerical duties relating to the department
Communicates with solid professional verbal and written communication skills
Coordinate delivery routes
Provide timely and accurate completion of deliveries in an efficient and courteous manner
Verify receipt and provide signature for receipt of items delivered
Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

Have or have had a Pharmacy Technician License in the state of Maine
Proven ability to drive with active driver’s license and access to reliable transportation
Willing to do deliveries with their own vehicle up to an hour distance from our site
