JOB PURPOSE
The Partnership Specialist takes the lead in exploring, creating, strengthening, and guiding management of (both internal and external) partnerships/ coalitions/ community of practices to support BRAC’s efforts on doing policy advocacy at national, regional, and global levels. Moreover, the Partnership Manager would guide BRAC’s development programmes and BRAC’s academic institutes on integrating advocacy components at programme design, implementation, and assessment stages

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and participate in different networks and coalitions to increase BRAC’s visibility and profile at national and global levels.
Coordinate efforts within BRAC programmes in prioritising, activating, and leveraging existing platforms with which BRAC’s development programmes and BRAC’s academic institutes have affiliations.
Monitor and analyse the national policy environment and situation to provide necessary and helpful information to the Programme Head and Team Lead to take the timely initiative to increase activity/ engagement with specific platforms, processes, and people to influence particular policies.
Plan and execute initiatives for systematic engagement with selected critical external stakeholders, including government offices and officials, influencers, academics, and technical experts.
Lead the design, roll-out, and BRAC-wide promotion of processes/ techniques/ digital solutions on managing relationships with key external stakeholders.
Mobilise Advocacy Forum as a platform for promoting the importance of and strengthening capacity to do policy advocacy within BRAC.
Support in promoting BRAC’s knowledge products geared towards doing policy advocacy, including research and publications, among relevant stakeholders and institutions.
Writing project updates and proposals, preparing narrations, liaising with existing and potential donors, responding to queries from development partners and other stakeholders as per the need of the project/programme.
Perform rigorous monitoring of grants, grant spending, portfolio spending, and perform further analysis to aid in the resolution of issues identified and also Identify questionable costs from a donor compliance perspective.
Prepare annual, quarterly, and monthly (financial and narrative) reports and ensure submission deadlines are met as per donor requirements.
SAFEGUARDING RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme's goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so.
ADDITIONAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
Good skills and experience in all aspects of programme cycle management - design and development, implementation, and monitoring and evaluation
Experience in organizational capacity development, training and facilitation
Experience of M&E and beneficiary accountability
Proficiency in communication skills, both oral and written, including a good track record of report writing
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Masters or Equivalent Degree in Social Science, Development Studies, Public Administration or Public policy
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Five (05) years’ work experience in the development sector focuses on public relations, partnership development, and policy reform/advocacy.
