Job Opportunity: Patient Access Manager

Are you ready to lead and make a positive impact in healthcare access?

We're seeking a dynamic Patient Access Manager to join our team in Juneau, Alaska.

As a key player, you'll ensure accuracy in recording patient demographic information, verify insurance eligibility, and assist patients with accessing necessary resources.

Your role involves coordinating with the revenue cycle to meet performance expectations and addressing challenges.

If you have a bachelor's degree or 3 years of healthcare supervisory experience, a minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience, and a customer-centric mindset, we want to hear from you.

Knowledge of managed care, healthcare technology, and Microsoft Office is essential.



Responsibilities

Ensures all patient access areas record accurate demographic information in the electronic health record
Verifies insurance eligibility on patient accounts, collects on patient liabilities at the point of service, processes authorizations, and assists patients with applying for alternate resources.
Coordinates with the revenue cycle to manage key performance expectations and challenges
Reviews performance of Patient Access Supervisors, Patient Access Registrars, and Financial Counselors
Requirements/Must Haves:

Bachelor’s degree or 3 years of healthcare supervisory experience in lieu of degree
Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience
Minimum 2 years customer service experience including training in customer service principles
Knowledge of managed care (i.e., Medicare, Medicaid, Blue Cross, Campus and related federal and state regulations and requirements
Knowledge of healthcare technology and automated system design of Electronic Health Record Systems
Knowledge of Healthcare Revenue Cycle operations, Information systems and health care applications and revenue cycle principles
Intermediate level knowledge of Microsoft Office Products including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Able to travel 25%
