Our Healthcare consulting practice is looking for a Technical Product Owner to join our journey.
We’re looking for Senior Consultants who can deliver within Cognizant’s Five Pillars of Consulting Excellence: 1) Project Execution, 2) Expertise, 3) Business Development, 4) Practice Development, & 5) People Development. As a Senior Consultant, this means partnering with clients and project stakeholders, colleagues to clarify requirements and support delivery of effective solutions; applying technical and domain expertise to solve core client business challenges or inefficiencies; developing and strengthening domain knowledge and maintaining an accurate understanding of Cognizant’s industry propositions and consulting capabilities; supporting business development activities of senior leaders; contributing to the development of practice initiatives or new service offerings (e.g., Strategic Control Points, development of consulting assets); and being an inspiring colleague, promoting team motivation, partnership, and ownership for projects. Essential Job Functions:
· Work as a member of a large scrum team and have the technical credibility to drive constructive discussions and decisions on priority, interdependencies, and related processes Translate high level requirements into products and product features. Create work items in stories in backlog. Work closely with engineering and QA to validate that the work item meets acceptance criteria.
· Develop user stories from solution architect’s design and customer requirements including details of the data interfaces within the different layers of the data platform.
· Provide vision and direction to the Agile development team and stakeholders and create requirements that meet the product and business needs/vision.
· Prioritize stories, epics and themes to ensure work focuses on those with maximum value that are aligned with product strategy.
· Bring technical expertise to key initiatives such as 3rd party application integrations, user administration & management, user authentication, platform security initiatives, etc. Collaborate with Engineering & Product Managers on resources, scope, prioritization, processes, and deliverables.
Responsibilities
· Based on experience, support or own and manage one or more project workstream(s), including deliverables, while adhering to budget, timelines, and client engagement guidelines.
· Partner with clients and project stakeholders and apply technical and domain expertise to solve core client business challenges or inefficiencies; this may include leading and managing small solutioning teams to accomplish the above
· Elevate the Cognizant brand from mere solution vendor to business-focused transformation partner, based on earning the trust and confidence of clients.
· Ensure accurate understanding of a client’s business challenges and their optimum alignment to engagements delivering Cognizant solutions.
· Capitalize on successful project outcomes in pursuit of further client business partnering and involvement with the client’s development of strategic digital transformation roadmaps.
· Collaborate with and influence Cognizant project resources (e.g., service lines, SBUs, on/offshore delivery teams) and Partners on behalf of project goals, often-changing client needs, and ultimately client delight.
· Leverage specific engagement solutions as marketable Cognizant solution offerings.
· Develop practice capabilities and brand recognition by exercising thought leadership, establishing a consultative presence within Cognizant and the wider consulting community, and participating in professional organizations.
· Participate in PeopleCare activities, Mentor and support less experienced Consultants for the benefit of the practice.
Strong presentation and written communication skills.
Ability to develop professional relationships
Ability to be a high-impact player on multiple simultaneous engagements
8+ years’ experience as a product owner or technical product owner
5+ years’ experience with software delivery
3+ years of hands-on experience with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) or Scrum Agile development
