Job Description
A highly challenging opportunity exists for a motivated individual to join the Tactical Systems Program Finance within ES C4ISR in Greenlawn NY. This individual must have complete understanding and application of principles, concepts, practices and standards or wide application of technical principles. Applies extensive expertise, and has full knowledge of other related disciplines.
The work includes various support areas to Tactical Systems Programs by monitoring and controlling costs and schedules. Performs analyses and prepares reports to ensure that contracts are within negotiated parameters and government cost control guidelines. Prepares budgets and schedules and performs and/or assists in financial analyses such as variance analysis. Prepares program plans to ensure program requirements and statement of work are captured and scheduled. Performs schedule risk assessments to identify and mitigate program cost and scheduling risks. Develops solutions to complex problems which require the regular use of ingenuity and innovation. Ensures solutions are consistent with organization objectives
Reporting to Finance Tactical System Manager Chris MacKnight, this person will support C4ISR Program Finance and Tactical Systems Product Line within C4ISR family. The qualified candidate will lead efforts to support his or her assigned Programs and contribute to the C4ISR Finance principal objectives. These objectives include meeting or exceeding key salients; providing timely and accurate forecasting skills; continuous improvement ideas and updates of current processes; and performing various analysis as necessary. The candidate will have exposure to various levels of management including the Product Line Director, Product Line Finance Manager, and Tactical System financial team.
Serves as consultant to management and special external spokesperson for the organization on major matters pertaining to its policies, plans and objectives. May interact with senior external personnel on significant technical matters often requiring coordination between organizations.
