You will be working as Project Engineer_LCS Brownfield Services and will be part of Process Automation Business Area for Energy Industries division based in Pune, India. In this role you will be reporting to Senior Engineering Manager and will be responsible for designing and executing DCS engineering activities in service projects with low to medium complexity, according to standard work instructions, quality standards and safety guidelines. Delivering quality customer service to satisfy customers.
Your responsibilities
Evaluating, selecting, applying standard techniques and procedures to perform engineering assignments in projects. Assisting in preparing proposal or presentation of service engineering projects or programs
Identifying customer (internal or external) requirements, analyzing, documenting as-is process, process interfaces, discover process gaps and design to-be integrated in collaboration with business resources
Creating work plans, cost estimating in own area of responsibility and ensuring quality deliverables on time and within targeted cost. Completing risk, opportunity assessments and ensuring implementation of resulting actions in one’s area of responsibility
Providing technical support for testing, installation, commissioning activities and collaborating with business teams to deliver solutions within timeline
Assisting customer, technical issues, interacting with official contracts, proposing continuous improvement ideas, simplification and consolidation strategies
Interacting with various stakeholders, understanding the customer demands, updating self with latest trends and technologies used in process automation domain. Understanding of the complete project life cycle including project deliverables
Your background
B E or B Tech in Instrumentation or Electronics and Communications Engineering
Minimum 4 to 8 years of hands on process or safety system experience predominantly in Application Engineering, HMI, 3rd party communication, FAT and SAT for Process Automation in any of the domains like Oil and Gas or Refineries or Petrochemicals
Knowledge on IEC 61508 and IEC 61511 and NORSOK standards. Knowledge on Brownfield scope of work for DCS - Modifications, Retrofits, Upgrades, Service and Commissioning
Experience in any ABB systems like 800xA, SG400, Advant, MOD300, AC800M, Melody, AC500 etc, will be added advantage
