job summary:
A Project Manager is needed for an American corporation that manufactures agricultural, construction, and forestry machinery, diesel engines, drivetrains (axles, transmissions, gearboxes) used in heavy equipment, and lawn care equipment in the Waterloo, IA area. This position will lead and manage strategic projects, fostering collaboration and innovation.
responsibilities:
Provide management and leadership to work teams for successful delivery of strategic business projects or product introductions.
Gather necessary resources and establish priorities for project execution.
Focus on business growth, product enhancement, and improving customer satisfaction or channel partner development.
Lead work teams to identify project deliverables and design project plans.
Ensure realistic outcomes, business objectives, and customer satisfaction targets are met.
Determine and secure resources necessary for project completion.
Monitor ongoing project status and maintain communication with business unit leadership and stakeholders.
Manage continuous improvement of data-driven insight generation processes through collaboration.
Gather project requirements in collaboration with subject matter experts.
Develop and execute communication plans, tracking and reporting project status to stakeholders and key participants.
Identify gaps in data collection systems and facilitate necessary work for their resolution and updates.
Support and potentially lead innovative special projects related to data, analytics product capability growth, and standards development.
Required Skills:
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Experience in project or task management.
Collaborative team player.
Preferred Skills:
Domain knowledge of diesel engine and/or aftertreatment operation and calibration.
Experience with machine telematics data and strong data analysis skills.
Knowledge of basic diagnostic principles and diagnostic development.
Familiarity with Systems Engineering thinking and requirements collection.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in education, business management, engineering/technology, agricultural sciences, marketing, or equivalent related work experience.
