Your responsibilities
Collaborate with proposal, project, and category teams to determine necessary items for procurement during the project. Develop schedules, estimates, forecasts, and budgets for project procurement.
Align project supply chain activities with the SCM(Supply Chain Management) organization’s sourcing strategies and approved vendor list, escalate exceptions to ensure best cost, quality, sustainability, and delivery performance
Manage relationships with suppliers in partnership with regional and global category management teams
Coordinate and monitor open purchase orders; reschedule orders when needed
Monitor the project procurement status and keep key stakeholders informed Proactively work to resolve issues related to procurement cost, quality, and delivery
Document general and special conditions for use on all project purchase documents, procurement procedures and plans, and ensure compliance
Optimize ABB inventories
Ensure on time payments to suppliers
Your background
Bachelor degree and 8 years of work experience or Associate degree and 10 years of work experience or High School Diploma/GED and 12 years of work experience required
Previous experience in project business in the industrial, manufacturing or automation sector required
Travel up to 30% required
Proficiency with an ERP (SAP highly preferred) and software applications such as MS-Office (e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc.) required
Strong data analytics with Continuous Improvement mindset and demonstrated negotiation skills in a multicultural, global business environment
A collaborative, flexible and solution-focused approach and strong written and spoken communication skills
Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
