As a R&D Manager, you will lead a team of engineers tasked with building a robust Cloud Native 5G Core (UDM, AUSF, EIR) and evolve 3G and 4G products towards Cloud Native Architecture. You will work collaboratively with Architects, Product Owners, System Verification engineers to set goals for your team and guide them.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage a team of 15+ highly capable developers and testers
Own talent hiring, allocation and optimum utilization across the organization
Establishing goals & objectives for team and manages the team to ensure that goals are met
Lead & motivate technical teams, mentor, grow and enable each member to reach their full potential.
Working in a fast-paced environment where you need to discover as you move forward and still maintain control and manage to the committed goals
Identify areas of risk and proactively address before such becomes unmanageable
KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Required Skills for Internal Candidates
15 years of experience in Telecommunications Networks domain
9 years of experience with Agile frameworks and techniques such as Scrum, Kanban and Continuous Delivery
5 years of experience in directly leading teams building Telecommunication Software products
Flexible and pragmatic about methods and processes, so as to be able to use own judgment to apply the appropriate model and approach that fits best with the context
Provide strong leadership and guidance to the team
Ability to provide a big picture vision to engineer and inspire them to achieve challenging targets
Servant leader who can enable self-organization in large cross-functional efforts, and how pull-based scheduling works in practice
Ability to deal with uncertainty, accepting that uncertainty is a fact of life when innovating, and manage uncertainty through a tight feedback loop rather than detailed upfront planning
