Position Summary
Provides support in the areas of Responsible Care®, environmental, health and safety, quality and ISO programs for Methanex USA Services, LLC (Methanex) Geismar in the context of Methanex Corporation’s global strategy.

Assists with the implementation of internal Responsible Care (RC) communications, hazard awareness and training programs.

Provides assistance with Quality and ISO programs and assists with the implementation of the sustainability strategy.

Position Responsibilities
Provides timely and confidential administrative and organizational support to the Responsible Care Manager and the Responsible Care team.
Provides desktop application support via MS Office applications for word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, and other applications.
Manages the Responsible Care Department network drives, including agendas, business calendar and action log.
Manages the Responsible Care Department intranet site.
Provides administrative support for maintaining and reporting from systems, specifically:
Incident Reporting
Document Management
Corrective Actions
Administers department training and leave systems and makes all necessary associated arrangements including data entry into appropriate systems.
Controls and coordinates supply and maintenance of office resources.
Administers Maximo, preventative maintenance system, management for Responsible Care Department.
Provides support for environmental, health, safety and quality graphs and statistics for monthly management team meeting.
Responsible for ensuring awareness of all controlled documents relating to this position as per Document Awareness Report from the Document Management Database.
Generates the monthly safety calendar, safety inspection rosters and updates safety board as required.
Coordinates safety orientations at the request of the Responsible Care team.
Maintains and updates the emergency response command center resources.
Coordinates travel bookings for the Responsible Care Department.
Develops and maintains EHS training programs.
Maintains quality of training packages.
Develops and maintains a competency-based training matrix of company-wide EHS training and where appropriate develops, sources and/or delivers training courses.
Provides support to develop and maintain safety-training systems in support of Methanex EHS training matrix.
Develops and maintains RC communications including web pages, safety calendar etc.
Develops all internal communications to endorse RC messages and deliverables.
Coordinates with the RC team for participation in relevant local, state and other committees and groups in the promotion of Methanex’s commitment to EHS goals and RC initiatives.
Participates in Health and Safety Forums ensuring regular meetings are scheduled, RC data is available for review and reports and action logs are distributed.
Provides support for environmental, PSM, health, safety and quality graphs and statistics for monthly Site Management Team (SMT) meetings.
Coordinates the preparation of the monthly RC report.
Assists the site QC Advisor in the ongoing compliance of a quality management system and continuous improvement initiatives at Methanex, in accordance with the Corporate Governance Quality Policy. These systems include registration and accreditation to the ISO 9001:2015 standard for all business activities.
Assists the Geismar manufacturing group in the resolving of matters pertaining to quality.
Coordinates the development of an annual audit plan for the site.
Assists with continuous improvement processes to ensure elimination of waste and optimization of business practices.
Coordinates and participates in audits for GIMS, ISO, insurance, PSM, environmental, H&S, or others as required.
Maintains an effective audit reporting and audit action tracker.
Tracks, coordinates, leads and/or participates as appropriate in the effective review and implementation of preventative actions as discovered.
Coordinates the review and updating of the RC Department controlled documents.
Responsible for ensuring awareness of all controlled documents relating to this position as per Document Awareness Report from Document Management Database.

Position Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent required.
Associate degree or other formal training/education in administration and/or Quality Program Management desired.
5 years of experience in administrative or quality function, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
Advanced MS Office suite application knowledge.
Initiative to be proactive in identifying opportunities to improve team efficiency and assisting in other areas when workload permits.
Ability to maintain utmost confidentiality.
Able to prepare basic correspondence, following verbal instruction.
