The Sales Support Specialist - Customer Support is the first point of contact for Analytical Sales customers and business partners of the Process Automation Measurement & Analytics.

In this role and using your customer service skills and knowledge, you will aid the Analytical Sales team by reacting to customer inquiries.

This position reports to
Sales Operations Manager

Your responsibilities
Enable and own many components of “post-sales activity”. Post-sales activity encompasses much of the actions and responsibilities after a customer’s order/Purchase Order is received
Review and analyze customer requests, coordinating input from other departments, to ensure timely movement and successful outcome to various sales and customer requests
Develop knowledge of the customer to then identify and predict customer needs. Respond to customer queries and product needs. Obtain, coordinate, and communicate information related to customer needs, requests, and requirements
Communicate via phone, email, & other means w/ customers, channel partners, account managers, & other internal resources
Review customer orders; verify customer information and notes. Maintain customer records and documentation. Work with confidential customer information. Accurately and timely log all customer interactions in data management systems
Shepherd each step of the process to ensure completeness and closure, including proactive follow-up communication to both internal and external personnel. Provide order processing, acknowledgements, requests for information, etc
Learn the components of, develop the plan for, and then own the timely and consistent movement of activities and information after the order is created in SAP. Components include all activities through to full invoicing to the customer
Your background
2 plus years of experience in sales operations, sales administration, or similar role; or associate degree in business, engineering, communication; alternatively, a special combination of education and experience and/or demonstrated accomplishments
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy
Strong communication (written and verbal) skills
Great time-management and problem-solving skills
Proven ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Developing skills for logic-based and/or discretionary decision-making
Advancing or developing Excel skills (pivot tables, vlookups, etc.)
Strong working knowledge of Salesforce or another CRM
Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
